Agraja (The firstborn) Asana (Chair) is the beginning of our journey into woodworking where an abandoned chair caught our attention and there was something about its proportion that inspired us to reimagine the basic joineries that come together to make a chair

Plantation life combined with light and delicate details yet grounding in appeal stands as the soul of this piece. It draws it’s inspiration from Bhramana (travelling soul) soul and stands as the perfect piece for individuals who love to enjoy the earthy elements.

This piece with its backrest brings in dimension of comfort to the humble posture; the handwoven rattan base connects back to its traditional handmade Madur (Bengal’s reed mats) used to sit on the floor.

The Bunai Collection by Woodlabs is an extension of our play with various textures. The Asandi (chair) features this beautiful Bunai (weave) with Natural Rope on its seat bringing in the fuzzy palette complimented by Oak Wood with a treated tannin finish which gives the piece an overall warmth to an otherwise Cold Oak Wood Palette.
